whats a prefold?
and can someone remind me what WOSB etc etc stands for
mine are wats on monkeys and squidgys butt coz their names start with the same letter lol
prefolds are like flats but already folded and sewn with extra absorbancy in the middle sectioni think thats the best way to explain and u can get them bamboo or cotton hope that helps
WOMB: nothing nappy free time
WOSB: magicall purple =]
AWESOME fluffy mail today - 7 Rumparooz I had on layby...! :) I loove Rumparooz. Love I tell you!
WOSB: Yet another Rumparooz.... :D
Ooooh! Cool thanks. Thought that's what it was but wasn't sure.
Still waiting for my fluffy mail! Why does it take so long!! Got some twinkle lily pads in the mix too bit I think they're not gonna make it in time.
ahem :p
WOJB: a bit of an invention so I can save my "real" stash for outtings. Terry flat folded traditional style, CT bamboo trifold (I think that's what all the cool kids are calling it?) folded inside with a CT mircofleece booster on top against his butt, for dryness of course. Oh, and it's yellow XD I love his big butt :heartbeat:
I saw a heap of them mega cheap and was wondering how they were for absorbancy. I'm in a dry climate so maybe for a NB stash but because it's so dry it gets very thirsty here hence needing a wee proof MCN
WOCB: Orange Abby Gro to match Daddy's orange workshirt  He's home for 4 days so I dress her for the occasion
The Littlest Squish is already growing out of her Sz 0 Auriels :( wahhh I really hope they fit for a little while longer, the ruffle bums are just too sweet
WOMB - Beetlebums wooly night pocket (still asleep)
WOAB - Fitted Auriel/Maz butterfly cover
It was a while back on Ebay. Someone was given a heap for a baby present and she preferred disposables and was selling them. I think it was about 7 for $100 or something. I thought that was a decent price for MCNs.
Oh I think I saw those but I already had mine on layby; great price considering rumps are $38-$40 usually! (got mine a bit cheaper on sale)
Went to see my friend in hossie today who had a prem. Her bubs is 1.99kg and I didn't want to hold him because I was scared I'd break him. He made my 2.1kg at birth DD look gigantic! Anyway I am borrowing my friend's BBH demo pack to show her as well as taking in a microfleece lined Abby Gro, a PUL lined one, a Maz cover and a Mini LaLa that my friend is throwing in her kit too. My friend is so interested in MCNs so I'm going to show her the different types and such. Her terry flats from her previous bubs are getting a tad thin/stained. Her baby is so small I'm thinking a facewasher will be the way to go for the time beng with a NB cover. Any suggestions ladies? I didn't get into MCNs til Charlotte was 3 months old so I'm a tad lost on the prem/new born scenario.
WOCB: Sposie with a bonnibuns night nappy outer as a cover. She's ready for bed but refusing to sleep.
My bub was 2.9kg born and I used a variety of home made fitteds/AIO's although some of those were a little big on her (I've been looking at them getting rather sentimental the last few days, it's hard to believe she was that tiny), kissaluvs, and other nb sized nappies worked well. We used MCN's from day 2 when we came home from hospital as DH refused to wash them while I was in hospital, I tried normal terry flats but they were so huge on her, I've never used pre-folds so can't comment on those.
WOMB - sposie with fleece cover to catch leaks (she's still sleeping)
lol Mollycat we do the same thing cover to catch leaks from a sposie the first mcn thing i owned was a maz cover =]
next week is gonna be good lol got a few packages coming yay
WOMB: sposie bloody rain grrrrrr
WOSB: prefold and maz jungle babies cover
crazy lady - sorry i cant help you out too much there. DS was 2.7kg when he was born and he was premmie too. we couldnt afford to buy more cloth nappies and the ones we had wouldnt fit him until he was over 4kg so we just used sposies until he was around 7weeks and could fit into them. what about the bummi's prefold system with some newborn covers or you can get some premmie covers too now? baby beehinds do nb covers from 2.5kg so what about them?
afm, i am just waiting to hear back from the bbh consultant so i can place an order for more fluffy mail! yay going to order the petites (but in large this time) and get a mulit fit too. DH said it was fine to get more now that DS is almost out of his others. still using the peapod smalls on him which the rise is a little low now but still fit a bit. i cant wait to get more fluffy mail!
WOHB - pea pod at the moment. nap time!
CL perhaps ask beema I no she used mcn right from early on with both her girls.

Hello Ladies!
Got fluffy mail on Friday! 6 more Itti Bitties that i got on the seconds sale for $12.95 each! So i now have 23 Itties! :o I also have 6 BBH's so i think i have plenty of nappies for now!
WOAB: Red Itti SIO
Jeepers! 12.95! Can't go wrong. Where am I when these things go on sale?!
I have a bulk of stuff coming in the mail this week. It's exciting. Something other than bills!
1 Itti tutto to try out - anyone seen one?
Bumsup pocket
Hug a bug for SILs bub, due Wednesday
Twinkle lily pads
A necklace and a libido bracelet LOL
Really wanna get a few more bamboo trifolds things from CTs but I might just wait...
Wonder what my posty is gonna think? ^^;
helle if u like those ones maybe get some bamboo foldups from BBH they are similar but a bit thicker just something i noticed :)
WOJB: both in sposies :( stupid rain
Hi everyone.. Did any of you see the maz sale on face book? All her left overs from the market.. Got myself some BARGAINS!
Heaps of rain here to.. Am hoping to do a nappy wash tomorrow as I haven't done one since friday, only 120 clean nappies to choose from atm.. Eek. Lol. Im a dork.
Why are nappies so addictive?!
120!!!! Tali that is a stash and a half. No make that a double, no make that a triple stash :) I'm very jealous.
yeah, I was thinking of getting a playgroup friend a NB cover but as I don't know her preference or even if she wants to use them yet I decided it'd be too pushy. I think she's set on using MCNs but until I show her my friend's bbh demo pack, and a few extras I'll see. I also didn't want her to get disheartened if it didn't fit her bubba properly with his low weight right now.
WOCB: Nothing, bath time with Daddy watching while I have a chill out prior to night 4 of her new sleeping routine
so bummed i missed it so many cute covers :(
WOJB: both asleep in sposies :( on the upside its only the 3rd sposie shes ever worn
So... What do you think.
Ds is still is sposies for night but I was considering getting a couple of night nappies. Do you think it's worth it or are we a bit too late in our cloth journey for them?
If not, recommend me something super thirsty!!
Hi Ladies,
Helle, I have seen a Tutto. It looks VERY confusing to use with all the snaps all over the place but i am sure once you read the instructions it won't be so confusing! I even found the BBH Bamboo Fitteds too confusing to use! haha! They do look great though. The itti Sale was mentioned on here by one of the other girls so i had a look and managed to snap up some bargains! I just ordered one of Maz's night nappies as Archie is still in sposies at night too. Don't know what they are like but i'll give it a whirl! I also ordered a small cover and a small night nappy because i may as well start collecting for the next baby! haha!
If anyone sees any newborn stuff for a bargain please let me know :D
WOAB: Sposie cos night nappies are uncharted territory!!
Helle, Have a look on the ittibitti website as they still have a few things on sale. Don't know what the bitti boos are like?
Oooookay.
Scored a large dlish for 12! I feel nawty now. Should probably get to bed and leave my poor bank balance in peace! No more fluff til after Christmas ... Maybe. Well, at least until all my other stuff gets here anyway...
I sometimes wonder of cloth really is a cheaper option? I mean... Do we ever really stop? XD
WOJB - plastic, and satin boxer shorts XD
well ive added it up and yep ive saved but i never really have money to buy more nappies lol and when i buy some i sell some of the others to make up for it :)
TripleJ, Aaah. Good idea :)
so sorry to keep plaguing you all with Q's but I have just noticed one of my CT's has gone crunchy?? It sounds like it has a plastic bag inside it... What does that mean?
I tried to sell some nappies on nappy addicts, but no luck. where else can you sell nappies?
theres a FB page just do a search buy and sell MCN's they have a pic that says i :heartbeat: MCN :)
:hello: ladies,
Hope you don't mind me jumping in. I've been using cloth with DS since he was born and am in the process of building a n/b stash, so I thought this would be a good place to pick your brains!
With DS we used flats until he fit into smalls (Tots Bots, BBH and IB) this time I want fitteds from the start.
I've got some prefolds too. So if anyone can recommend any n/b nappies feel free.
WOMB:Red GK
How long have you had them? Were they seconds? I was contacting the company for replacements but after a while they stopped replying. I just gave up on them and went to abby gros. I found the company rather unproffessional to deal with as did my friend. She's also utterly ****ed at the quality because she bought her's hoping to use for a second bub too but they keep failing. Also as one replacement they sent her 2 basix instead of 2 coutures. They sent one lot to her old address after she specified 3 times her new address, stuff like that I refuse to deal with them now. I won't buy from a company that doesn't look after it's customers. Sorry for the rant lol.
Maybe try shoot them an email and see if they can replace it? I think you can through their site. It's sucky that it does it after 2 weeks hey?
Yeah I've sent an email just now. One of the boosters is falling apart too!
I bought them over 12 months ago so I'm not holding my breath for any kind of replacement but have only started using them the last two weeks as they were always too big around the legs for Ds. So, up until two weeks ago they have been sitting in the cupboard in their "washed three times for absorbancy" stage.
CL, the Swaddlebees NB fitteds are really great - team them up with a NB booroi cover and your friend should be fine. We have used cloth from the moment they were born with both DD2 and 3 so if you have any other q's shoot away - but my girls were 3.72kg and 3.65kg so a bit of a different scenario!
I got some awesome fluff today!! The post man even brought it up to my door (top level unit) - new guy, lovely man :)
WOMB - Beetlebums "aloha" pocket
WOAB - Widdlewun
Thanks kitt3n, Her DH is still working full time as are her 2 sisters so she can't use MCNs in hossie. The flats are super huge on him so she's just using sposies. She has 3 other kids that need looking after while she's in with bubba so her family is working shifts around to look after them taking turns. I'm hoping he porks up heaps before she gets out. He's so tiny!
WOCB: Orange minky Abby Gro and she's still sleeping.
Well, so far i am finding it VERY hard to stop so i can see it not being too cost effective for us! But they are so darn cute with fluffy butts!! Glad you scored a bargain though! I had one of the seconds itties on Archie today and i noticed that i had to do it up tighter than usual... don't know if that's the fault with them.
WOAB: Sposie
had you had one of exactly the same non-seconds on today too? DD changes shape sometimes daily but more weekly. Archie would be pretty active right?
