well we had some fluffy mail 2day :D 2 itti mediums, some medium fiitteds...:/ cant even remember what they r now!! and some medium covers, the small covers started making red marks in his thighs that would take days to go away.
did anyone else see the itti clearance sale? im now expecting 5 more medium ittis lol

im expecting some fluffy mail 2moro another dragonfly magik nappies are a little boring at the moment and jazz is starting to outwet prefolds very quickly so she'll be in pockets and others soon just have to get some money to make that happen then i can sell all the prefolds and NB covers coz if i sell them now we wont have any nappies lol

What was the itti clearance sale? Was it on their website? I just ordered 10 more off one of BB's MPM's!
It's OK, i found the sale on the Itti website but when i try to checkout it keeps saying the connection is untrusted! Don't know what is going on there!

Hallitribe - I still have all of Laa's good nappies for the squish - so in mediums we have a good stash of Widdlewuns, a couple of GF's and mainly Sugarshot! pockets. She has some size 1 Auriels on the way too - I don't think the size 0's are going to fit her for long, on the thigh she is already on the second loosest snap! The best nappies on the squish are the Beetlebums, the fitteds are starting to wear thin - as in they aren't absorbent enough, even with extra bamboo boosters in them :( though I love the fit, gosh I love the Kissaluvs contours and the Swaddlebees NB's!!
Hubby has been home and helping me - he gets annoyed with squirting off the AI2 style nappies so our washing machine has been going continuously so that Laa's pockets are ready to rock.
Anyone score anything on GD last night? Gosh there were some lovely things! I wish I had the cash to get one of the dolls for Laa for Xmas!!!!

DD's starting to potty train but I might be UTD (big shhhhh) so prolly won't get time to experience fluff withdrawl long :D. Feeling heavy in the belly, tired, no appetite and AF is 2 weeks late. Now getting up the nerve to potter down the street and get a POAS test. Crossing my fingers.

oops, picked up the test that doesn't work for me. Every time I have taken it I get a blank box (even when it turned out I was 2 months utd). Just took it then had a "duh" moment. Looks like try get another type maybe tomorrow and lay awake wondering again tonight.
I went into the sewing shop and the lady was SMITTEN with DD's fluffy bum. She made the fitteds for her kids about a decade ago because she hates sposies. She's going to talk to her friend's daughter about MCNs

I went a bit crazy at the Itti Bitti sale....but I have a reason! DH and I went to see DD's childcare centre today (she's starting next year a couple of days a week) and they told us we can use cloth if we want. Woot Woot. For some reason despite us having 2 and a bit days worth we figured we should get some specifically for day care (he said it and I ran with it) so I have 10 new nappies on the way. Yayayayya.

DH has jumped on board and is always looking up asking if i've heard of this brand or that. I'm really liking our BBH bamboos and magicall multifits, and DH can work them which is great :lol: Just wish the weather would make up it's mind cos bamboo takes too long to dry inside and DH isn't keen on me using the drier all the time

I'm actually going through Miss M's collection and sorting out her too small ones, I have a friend who is interested in them, and I'm also culling out the ones I don't really like. Just waiting on a few more sunny days to strip wash and sun them. Then I seem to replace the ones I've culled out plus a few. oh dear.... I'm sure they were supposed to save us money.
(I bought a few at the itti garage sale a couple of weeks ago, then couldn't help myself in the clearance sale the other day)

Well, The Squish is already out weeing her NB fitteds :( Even WITH boosters! Gotta move onto the smalls, I'm just glad that her belly button is all but healed (which is why I wanted the NB snap down ones anyway, at least they served that purpose for long enough, but I don't want to stop playing with them yet!!).

Audax, Think you have mum to be's intuition hun? Slept like a log last night and STILL tired. i slept for 10 hours straight! Thinking either AF is on her way or I am definately UTD. Too tired to go to the shops just for POAS tests today. I really feel heavy down there and still no appetite.
On the fluff front DD had a mega clear the room poo at Playgroup this morning and people went a tad green. Was HILARIOUS because 2 mum's childrens had seepage in sposies but they were quite impressed with the cloth poo containment capabilities. I think DD was a tad embarrassed that the mums that had to change thier wee ones at the same time were gawking!

Mollycat, omg I am the same! I am fairly new to cloth but already I am an addict. Trying to convince myself that it will save us money but, let's be realistic here (and only here, not in earshot of my husband!), it's not!
What are some good brands that are easy to get hold of? So far I only have ittibitties and BBH, I love them both but wouldn't mind having a look at other brands too! I am picking up ten more itties tomorrow and I'm so excited!

I am finding that my nappies still smell of ammonia even after washing them and hanging them on the line to dry. My washing line gets heaps of sun. I use 1/2 the amount of earths choice liq and usually wash on 40degrees with an extra rinse. What am I doing wrong? Do you think it's cos I sometimes leave them three days before washing (as I don't have enough for a load)?

leaving them could be an issue. Try rinsing them prior to putting in the bucket. Urine can also rot bamboo so rinsing i read was suggested if you go more then 24 hours without washing. If DD is doing extra smelly wee i run a short cycle and a low spin prior to washing normally to rinse first. Bi carb in the prewash section works a treat too. I used about a tablespoon although I haven't needed to with rockin' green:

With DS1 I used to chuck his night nappy in the shower for DH to rinse when he showered in the morning (he wasn't overly impressed with that idea, but did it anyway) and then washed them every three days. Now I wash every day and a half and don't feel the need to rinse. I also don't just have nappies in the load, there's sheets or towels and bibs etc.

Stoked - I think it's from them sitting in the bucket for so long (this can also make them deteriorate much faster, leaving htem for more than 2 days will certainly halve their lifespan). Do you leave the lid on or off? I have found that leaving the lid off allows some of the ammonia to evaporate and such they smell less. Also, I do a pre wash before washing them in detergent, just to rinse all of the wee out before they are actually washed KWIM?
