for those of you who use flats, what do you use (if you use at all) for liners? or aren't they necessary? As I said in my first post, I have a gazillion flats (ok about 60) but not sure if I should line them?

Arimeh - I remember that incident. Scrag was the word you used.
CL - at my daycare we had a communal pot of Sudocrem, supplied by the centre. You wear a clean glove to stick your finger in the pot, then throw the glove away. Not as horrific as you think.
I had some raw silk kicking around in my sewing drawer, so made some with a bit of that. I think you can buy them somewhere. Don't know. I mostly use microfleece liners, I cut them up myself out of Lincraft microfleece. We have about 6000 in this house, they're so handy.
mellybelly - I line my flats with microfleece liners. You don't have to use anything, but a liner makes it easier to get the poo off.
WONB: Navy fleece GF with a Tree of Life on her bum. Cute.
he is such a wiggle bot that its hard to get liners to stay put especially when trying to do up a nappy so its just easier to use a couple of sposies. he is in sposies at night anyway at the moment and i always put cream on at night regardless of whether he has a rash or not :D
is that one of the signs of addiction Arimeh? :D
[QUOTE=CrazyLady;2775560]Those new to the thread, just be wary of what nappy rash creams you use in a MCN. Certain creams (e.g Bepantahan and sudocream) will block up the stay dry liners on nappies. This means that when they get weed in, the wee will just run off and enter the soaking bit through the bottom. It means that you are more likely to have leaks. Once the stay dry liner is blocked with a thick nappy cream it's an absolute nightmare to get out properly. Petroleum based oinments (EG Lucas Pawpaw oinment in the red tub) and such will also cause PUL and elastics to deteriorate (plus they're downright NASTY). I learnt the hard way on a few of my older abby gro nappies. A good cream for nappy rash that is MCN friendly are Moogoo MSM cream. It's AWESOME stuff and if DD has the nasty teething burn on her little bottom it will stop it being red within an hour. Some people might have more to suggest. I didn't want people accidentally screwing up some of their fluff stash like I did!
wow thanks so much for that. im waiting on a big delivery of bumGs and i would have destroyed them!!! lucky i have some msm cream too!! :)
WOMB: still sposie, still waiting on fluffymail....
It's ok to use cream if you have a liner on it.. Just don't use cream without a liner cause it will ruin the booster/nappy.
I got my candies today!!! They are so pretty and I LOVE the colours!! Will be washing them today so we can use them tomorrow!! They are OSFM aren't they? they just don't have the snaps at the front like my ittis and pop-ins... So she might just be harry high pants! LOL
WOCB: Silver meduim SIO itti
i ordered candies the same day, and i dont have mine yet. :( waa waaaa waa
ahh, i feel a buying urge coming on.... abby gro just announced nappies are being listed tommorow and more after easter....
WOKB: pea pod
WOAB: itti aio
Did somebody say something? :tmi: I am a virtuous goddess of sale avoidance. Luckily AGs and I don't see eye to eye.
Re: liners - to use with cream, you need to use something pretty sturdy that the cream won't go straight through. So chux wipe type things and flushable or supermarket liners won't protect your precious nappies as well as something like microfleece or silk.
WONB: Dragon Auriel. Poppet is in size 2s already!
Thanks Audax! That gives me a better mental image! I was almost dry heaving thinking a care provider had used another bub's pot
ETA: Fluffy mail! Newborn sized Maz covers rocked up on my doorstep today. I got prefolds too and they look super easy to use. I'm going to practice on one of DD's dolls tonight after she goes to bed or they'd go missing. It took me 30 odd mins to get them off her  Fluff addict in the making! :D
I got fluffy mail today too! But not my candies, poo!
I got a medium itti d'lish and an izzy bear with day and night inserts :D
Waaaah!!! One of my tutto shells made it into the drier where I was finishing off some inserts...
On "extra dry" :(
I hope it's ok :(
fingers crossed its ok helle!
i would love to buy new nappies but alas bills must be paid so it must wait for a bit longer :(
WOHB - bbh mulitfit in purple
Hopefully as a once off it should be ok. I used to put my shells in the dryer before I was told otherwise and they lived for a while. They died earlier than other's but still lived :p
I discovered a sun area for my boosters that's a puppy free zone so they're back to being sunned  I was using the laundry window but I had to leave them there a couple of days to really unstain them. I dunno what I'm going to do in winter though...
WOCB: Pink skulls on black Abby Gro!
I hope so. It doesn't sound crickley...
Is it one of those dryers that just have the cycle lengths rather then the switch to control the heat? My dryer has no heat options and just cycle lengths and it isn't as hot as the older style dryers. It should be okay if it doesn't sound like a plastic bag has been put in it!
