not listening! ive spent just over $200 this week on nappies, if krystal stops growing, ill be right for a while!!
    really?

I must be doing something wrong with this MCN business - I don't think I've spent more than $200 all up on nappies! We got 10 pocket nappies (AI2s) through ebay (papoosies? from China?) for about $50 including postage, and then got 24 white terry squares for about $50 from K-mart and 16 coloured terry squares from baby bunting for about $55 (I didn't like the colours at K-mart ) ... and a couple of dozen pilchers in different sizes for about $10 ... and then we got some biodegradable liners from an online shop, but they don't help much, so we don't use liners anymore.

    where am I going wrong??

I think its about what you are comfortable with using. I would never buy any cheapies off ebay - but thats my personal preference. I like to support WAHM's in australia - and their nappies are expensive. However the quality is brilliant, and I like the thought of helping someone stay home with their babies - cos I get to stay home with mine

I scored a nappy last night in the firefly stocking - wooohoo!!! I definitely need more larges as DD2 is getting plumbers crack these days.

DD3 fits into a medium GF now - I love her sizing.. lol... She fits into the small ittis now too, and small magic-alls, so hopefully won't be too far away from going into the medium widdlewuns!!! Then I can get rid of the nappies I don't like - ittis, magic-alls.. lol

Ahh I'm such a nappy snob.

It came it came!!!! My WeePantz nappy came.... And it's goooooorrrrgeous!!!!! Can't wait to wash it and put it on!!! Will defo be taking a pic for fb

Peanutter- mine are mostly wahm nappies too but you have to do what's right for you. If cloth nappying is a finacially decision then go for the cheapies. There is plenty of buying competition for the wahmers anyway, it's cut throght! Rofl

Mel- I had my eye on the WW medium last night but decided it wouldn't fit him for ages. I'm spewing I didn't get one at the last stocking but didn't realise she didn't make smalls regularly

Peanutter: you are not doing any thing wrong!!!!! I buy Ittis ($36.95 full price btu I got most of mine for 40% off) and pop-ons ($38 full price but I haven't paid more that $25 for one yet!!) I have 10 ebay cheapies that cost me $40 but they are too big right now... I just prefer the ittis n pop ins so they cost a bit more.

WMM: yay to getting your weepantz!!!

C wore her candy today and no leaks? but she didn't poO! It was the poo that shot out the side... I swear C is a weird body shape!! She is 75th percentile for weight right now but her itti's are on the small setting and the waist snaps meet in the middle, and with her candies they are done up as far as possible! So she is meant to ne fat yet is on the smallest sizes nappy wise?? Oh well! They will fit her longer! LOL

WOCB purple candy (it has a proper name but I can't remember? Maybe wine?)

I'm the same, Mel, I definitely have a preference for the aussie nappies. The quality is awesome, and if something does happen to go wrong, it's so easy to contact whoever's the boss

gotta say - WHOA - that your DD3 fits in med GFs! Noodle is 7.2kg and still doesn't properly fit into them, she's not even on the last snap in her smalls.

Aaaaand... I didn't even *look* at the firefly collective last night. I took the twelve steps to beating my addiction and I am proud.

Night covers - I get a worse smell with fleece or wool than PUL. Am I doing it wrong?

WONB: The usual night time gig - Bamboozle, prefold, liner, fleece cover.

I use both boosters Mummajj... So the 3 fold one then the long one. And she has them on the smallest snaps. I just think the leg elastic isn't tight enough, thats why we leak. LOL. Yours did come with 2 boosters didn't it?

I bought flannel yesterday so using that with my bamboo double terry to make wipes, one side soft for just wee's and the terry side for poos! lol...

WOCB: sposie cause couldn;t be bothered with the pop-in night booster tonight! LOL... once I get the dream dri ones I will use them overnight cause then I will have 4...

Mine came with 2 boosters too.

So i just went to have a sticky beak at the mumslittleoutlet shop and i swear this morning there were sale items that were the 25% off as well (i remember seeing the red writing) but now i cant find any nappies on sale! Not sure if im looking wrong or if they all sold. But i spose even at full price with the 25% off code its still good.

no peanutter, your not doing anything wrong! my dd1 had a huge growth spurt so ive been getting diffrent ones to fine the new "right fit" for her now, and building my stash of brand newies! all i can say is yay for baby money! else id be down to 4 that fit K ive got a large pile of flats, but rarly use them, just feel akward(spelt that wrong didnt i?) i could swear i hated bbh when i was first trialing the diffrent brands.... they are one of select few that cover k's crack issue but if that belly gets bigger, the wont do up for long. someone should come up with snap extenders!

wokb: a sposie i found in the bottom of the wardrobe, all nn still drying

hmmm ... I'd love to support some more home grown women, and encourage them to be able to keep working from home, but we just don't have that kind of income at the moment ... maybe when I'm rich and famous

at the moment, it's an environmental and financial and ethical decision. and by and large we just use terry flats - we've found them to be fine, and the MCNs are more for over night.

But I've been spreading the word about MCNs, and that they're not just something that people did in the olden days when there weren't other options ... and I've got 2 friends to give it a shot so far, and they've been going great

I have 3 Tuttos en route for bub to be born. I got them from the mums little outlet site this morning. DP let me because he copped a wet patch on his jeans from an older nappy that's a tad un waterproofed now . Back in the day when I used to put a lid on the bucket (in summer near the bathroom window that faces west) and wash every 2 days has come and bit me on the rear... Well, not really because I can buy more without guilt and get excited about fluffy mail again

WOCB: Night time sposie. We tried clothing it again last night but she has teething wee and it burnt around the top of her thighs
