Mrs bexie - yours if you want it, just pm me your address.

Lmp - think it's about 3 grand you spend on sposies on average till toilet training, but I would have spent that on cloth so I haven't saved any money lol!!!! As for selling eBay is out, I sell mine on nappy addicts or just put them on my Facebook profile cos I have quite a few cloth friends on there.

LMP! Hi. There are a few MCN buy, swap and sell pages on FB. Ebay people have listed used but they're usually taken down before they sell.

Well, this morning's playgroup said they found using cloth "repulsive" and "unhygenic". My reply was "well you wear your knickers more than once don't ya? Nappies get washed too.". It's only because Pixie pooed. Half of the kids are TTing right now and accidentally do poo in their pants and the mums don't throw them out. No logic there as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing wrong with my child's hygiene or mine for that matter! And then half of them exclaim it's so expensive to buy nappies for 2 kids a week *sigh*!

I'm looking around for newborn fluff but not buying any more just yet. I still haven't gotten off my butt and hemmed the nappy flannelette so refusing to buy any more nappies until I see how many that'll make.

WOCB: Bonnibuns night nappy for her nap. Abby Gros haven't been cutting it for nap time of late so night nappied her today.

    i find when people dis the cloth it's beacuse a) they're jealous and b) they're trying to jusify their own reasons for not bothering ><;
    Just sayin' :P

I was more amused by it because they make out they're extra intelligent women . Pixie did have a super gorgeous nappy on this morning I really don't mind if someone admits they're too lazy to use cloth, at least they're honest.

How rude of them to say it is unhygenic!!! And good on you for asking if they use their undies more than once! hahahaha... I have only ever had good comments on my MCN's!!
With the newborn fluff there is a bubblebubs newborn "just hatched" one on ebay... brand new... it's sooooooo cute!

The FB page I am on is "buy and sell your MCN's (modern cloth nappies)
It's actually a group, but there is soooo many people on there and nappies get snapped up really fast!!

the cost of sposies i calculated it to be $5000 per child, probably over as i went by what i used for the previouse 2 years, when S was a bub it was huggies, so probably more for him. i used the babylove and it cost adverage 15-20 per week for one depending if they were on special, so definatly saving here!
i was out with a friend today, and she saw A's nappy when i was changing her, she was so facinated with it, i had to almost yank it off her befor bub peed everywere!! but she is a bit to thick to use them, 50 times i tried to explain that you just wash, not unstich the booster and chuck:eyeroll: (was a itti aio) she said she will just admire from afar!
i showed df a holden nappy the other night, as fil is holden crazy, his reply was "if you get that, we will have to have a boy to use it" so only preties to be bought here!

i wanted to use cloth from the begining, but could not figure out how to fold the flats and never knew about the awsomeness of mcn's!!

Wokb: sposie for the night her only maz night is drying, cant wait for the new ones to be sent!!
    WoAB: pea pod.

I've calculated the cost of sposies for me to be $4500ish per kid.. I've definitely not spent that much on cloth. I'd say I've spent around $1200 and that's being generous. (calculating nappies at full price, and not allowing for things I've scored on sale and second hand) I think cloth wipes are a HUGE money saver too, the cost of those stupid things can sneak up on you! We used to go through a packet of the bulk pack ones a week (mind you this was when DS was NB and a pooping machine) and they were $15 bucks a pop. Over 2 years that's easily a grand or more...

I haven't had any new fluff in yonks. I do need to get DS more night nappies tho, and offload my BBH night, it's just too chunky for the poor little guy! DH calls him bubble butt when hes worn it. So if anyone is interested it's a large, been used only a handful of times and I'm hoping for $30 inc. postage.

Oh, and WOJB ebay cheapie with extra peapod stuffing(I dig their trifolds, they're so thick!), he's snoozing thank god.

ETA ~ Annoy Maz for NN and prefold pricing *check!*

I find my issy bear inserts are awesome in the ebay cheapo pockets. A little bulkier than what come with them but it fills them up nicely. Plus you get one day and one night booster than snap together or go separately

Trifolds are squares of bamboo that you just fold into three and use in pockets (or in AI2s you just put it under the liner...) babybeehinds make them, and cushietushie. I like the thickness of the BBH but the CT ones are a bit bigger, peapods are a good mix of the two. Nice and thick and a good size
