I'm expecting fluffymail this week, from Dashing Derrières and Couture Cloth! Also DH installed our little squirt - soooo much easier to deal with poosies

    Nice score Bern!

Both the kids are in sposies at the moment . DS is having some issues - he's all red and it hurts when he wees sometimes (he woke up crying last night poor guy), and he asks to be changed out of cloth as soon as he wees - so he's in sposies until that clears up. DD doesn't have enough cloth nappies cause she's growing too fast for me to keep up! I only have 10 for her, and it's simply not enough. I need to stock up on lots of OSFM for her I think.

    I hate sposies .

just had my first bambooty easy peasy AIOs arrive in the mail - I got 4 medium size to try and figured I'd have to put them away for a month or two for DS to grow into them but after washing them I was dying to see how they look on - he's only 8wks old and the medium fits him perfectly on the tightest fitting Growing wayyy too fast! Has anyone used the Easy Dry Bambooty's? The Easy Peasy's took a long time to dry after I pre-washed.

Bern, I use the Earth Choice liquid concentrate. I've used it for a long time now without any issues.
Oh, actually I have the non-concentrate Earth Choice liquid one at the moment, so it is slightly different.

I'm getting impatient, i'm expecting 3 seperate orders of MCN!! (mainly 2nd hand stuff), but I want them now!!!!! =P

I'm also curious about washing detergent, because all the sites also sell their "special mcn made save the earth let dogs vote" stuff, but is it worth getting? or will my MCNs be fine with our boring run of the mill mass produced stuff?

Providing you don't have softeners in it and you only use 1/4-1/2 usual amount with your MCNs you should be fine. (I vaguely recall something about not having optical whiteners in the detergent as well).

You may find your child reacts with some detergents.

I ended up going back to baby SA8+ as my DS has eczema which flares up with other detergents I did try the rockin green, the earth's choice and ecostore ones but the eczema elsewhere on my son's body didn't seem to like them so I went back to the SA8 as I can't be bothered having separate detergents for different washing loads.

Tierae, you are going to think I am completely mad, but I have 13 orders that I am waiting to arrive...... Ok so I went a bit mad and realised I had lots of OSFM that completely swamped my LO, so went a bit nuts on a MCN swap sell site and have bought nb nappies and different covers and lotsa other hemp and bamboo OSFM nappies from a variety of ppl. Having to ban myself from the page until I get what I am expecting. Has cost me a bit for postage, but it would have cost me heaps more to buy brand new so that is how I have justified it. Am very excited to ditch the sposies, but DH isn't so keen...

Thanks tripleJ, I'm not keen on having different detergents for different things either, BUT might make an exception for the MCN, only cause I would be doing them seperate, and can see only me doing them (i dont trust DH to do them he does get a bit detergent happy...) even though he does do 90% of the clothes washing around here.
I'm thinking that too, in re: to mail just not reaching us, cause i am expecting heaps of stuff (i remember counting 10 things the other day, but can now only remember 7...) 3 are MCN.. but i'm getting a bit sus that we might not actually be getting our mail..

Bella, Ha! crazy =P but only cause i'm really trying to behave as bub isnt here yet...and I cant use them yet, but you go girl! why is it the hubby's arent keen on doing it? I thought I would sell it to mine easy when i said 'save thousands and thousands of dollars' but no... in his defence, when his other children were in nappies terry flats and plastic covers were all there was, so I think he just keeps thinking about that, now he has seen 1 or 2 MCN and realises they are a bit different he is slowly getting there...but still not 100% convinced.

I have ittis on order as well, DS has outgrown his mediums thus an upsize was needed, the sale helped as well. When I get back to Canberra I will be selling my little nappies, medium ittis, small BBH covers and a few more that i cannot remember.

Successful morning out in the NB BBH, but forgot to take along spare MCN so had to put her in a sposie at change time. Fixing that now.

I pulled out my small size nappies and prefolds 'cause I think we'll be able to use them soon enough. H is growing! Not sure whether to be happy or sad...
