Hmm damn... Miss d2 has a mean red rash. I have been using the moogoo on her with a flush able liner. Not getting better at this point. It was getting better in sposies, but now in cloth it is getting worse. I think it is cos I am sometimes asleep when she poos at night. Poor little cherub.

What about papaya cream? I found a great one in the chemist (no nasties) and I have it on hand in case it's needed.

I don't think I ever went deep into pretty obsession, but I did kinda want to try everything at least once. I never got there, but I tried a good solid selection of nappies, and there's not many I hated. MagicAlls. Man those things pees me off. Yet I still have two! 'mergency naps.

Lucas may stain, but it's petroleum based, so not very good. There's another orange tube papaw ointment that is better, or apparently a black one. DH also recently got a red tub that was non-petroleum, but it was made locally by a small company so might be hard to find.

Jennifer - we have been through 3 machines since DD was born. Our current front loader does a 1000rpm spin but courtesy of the blazing Brissie sun (that we haven't actually seen that much of!) I turn it down to 600 rpm - the nappies dry slightly more slowly, like 9 hours rather than 6, but they're much softer. As your naps get more thrashed you might notice the difference too.

Teirae - I don't use sposies. Ever. Too much hassle and I don't want poo in my bin. We just use hardcore liners if we use hardcore creams. I have cotton liners and microfleece liners that can be blown to smithereens by all the creams you can imagine. Or I trash my terry flats, they'll cop anything, and at $3 a pop, I'm not too worried about them. Get some. Even for spew rags/back ups/whatever. The 8 pack I got (and handful of extras I made/"acquired") were a godsend. Anyway, rashes - We have heaps of nappy off time and although she's a bit rashy at the moment, for the most part, her bum is stunning.

DD has discovered the joys of ripping velcro open. Only on TotsBots or Bubblebubs though. So Daddy has to HTFU and use snaps or put her in a onesie. He's awesome though - likes sidesnaps, and thinks FSs are backwards. In other news, she is telling me when she wants to wee/poo sometimes. Beginning of the end....

Yeah, ours is a non-petroleum based one too (I used to use the Lucas one but this one is much nicer). Good tip on the liners - I have some that are flushable so I'll keep that in mind.

I quite like the NB BBH MagicAll, Audax, but I only have one. Have a couple in the small size, but I have so many different ones if I don't like them, it's no stress.

Lil kitten! My DH hates the bonds wonder suits! Everytime I put one on he just asks me who the hell invented them!

*shakes head over MagicAll hatin* I love them! Yes they take approximately 12 years to dry, but they fit my DS really well, if anyone wants to sell them my DH's bank account is ready and waiting

Does anyone else use Mink nappies? They were from a baby store and DH got them cos they were on special (woop!) and now he loves them. I find the snaps a bit fiddly, but they fit quite well. He's ordered 4 more, so I'm hoping they're good!

I'll join in on the magic-all hatin'. I've tried them for each of my kids (so that's 4 now and all are different shapes) and they sucked on all of them!

i love them for DS they are the only large that fit and they were cute as smalls on DD never tried mediums as jazzy has a full DM stash lol i love how they fit shes been wearing them from 3 weeks old as night nappies to now as her main stash so addicted and now they arent as rare coz she getting sewing again only 6 of them are from brand new including one i won in a random draw so im still saving money i guess haha

Havent tried BBH magicalls. In fact, have only ever tried bbh bamboo or hemp fitteds lol..

I made my first fattycakes Last night. So impressed it turned out so well! Yayy! Making more tomorrow just for some plain stash fillers to replace the ones I am about to sell.
I still dont want to let go of the CGRS because they are pretty but they dont fit well!! I need to just let them go. Abd learn how to applique on minky so I can make something pretty lol...

I cant find msm cream up here! One chemist stocks moogoo but they never have msm cream. Thats the only moogoo one that is mcn safe.

Might make some better microfleece liners tomorrow too so I can stop the sposies! And I strip washed a whole load of nappies so will use all the non-strip washed ones first! Lol..

Wocb: no idea cause daddy changed her for bed. Prob a fitted and wool cover?

You can order the msm cream from the moogoo website. Have you tried asking the chemist to order some in (even if they only get a small amount in as a trial see how it sells batch)?

Hey Kit, do you want a Large magicall for nuthin? I hurled it at the "Nappies I Hate" pile after the latest leakage. It's cream stained, it was a surprise RAOK.

Went to Lincraft today and apart from some bug biting me, the place being a filthy junkheap and the staff suspiciously, um, impaired, I found some cool minky! On the cheap rack! I was thinking about making minky flongies. Is this a cool quest? If not I might just make some training pants or something.

JJJ - DD puts her doll on the potty. Or her hat *in* the potty. She used to like weeing on a prefold, but now she thinks that concept is hilarious. Nutcase of a kid.

So how did u girls get DH on board with cloth? My DH and I had an argument last night about it. All came to a head cos I put her in cloth overnight and he doesn't think it looks comfortable for her in the bulkier style. I had her in a sml bbh night nappy. It wasn't too bulky without a cover but with a wool cover it looks quite big. Sigh..... I had to compromise last night and put her back in sposies. He was really upset and feeling like I was ignoring that he doesn't like the idea of cloth. I guess I just figured he would come round.

My kissaluvs arrived today!! They are a gorgeous fit and sooo slimlined. I don't think DH minds the look for them so much and dd1 now has a small stash of nappies that are osfm that I bought for dd2 but that won't fit her for awhile yet. It is funny cos she just loves how pretty and "special" they are. The only thing DH can complain of there is that dd doesn't want to take them off in the morning. Lol! Oh well. As long as he never knows how much I have spent he probably will get used to the idea. Shhhhhhh

I got given some secondhand ones first and DP told me they looked a little worn and he hoped she was getting some nice new ones too! Credit card came right out and several parcels later... He lost all interest, although he did have to get some tools out to install the squirter. But he put one on her the other night and said it was easier than the sposies.

I think when I told him better at wicking away the moisture so more comfortable and less likely to cause nappy rash he was over the line. Plus, DD2 screeched at nappy changes for the few days of sposies and that confirmed they were less comfy. I may have highlighted that.

GL at talking him around. We have the AIOs, the pocket ones are bulkier when I add inserts, but not much.
