i havent used liners before but might see if i can find some and try them if my new wipes done seem to be working

Thanks for the suggestions girls. Sunlight sounds like the way to go Kim, not sure why it had slipped my mind. I did give them a scrub before the last wash but it was with napisan stuff (i would never normally use btw) and it really didn't seem to make any difference. And did do a detergent strip wash before but not a scrub with it.... Back to the laundry! Haha

TT I don't usually use powder (but it partly coz I'm a little slack and don't like if it gets on other stuff while applying) I would suggest DON'T use actual baby powder on her bot if you can help it tho coz its been proven to be a carcinogen from memory raising risk for cancers such as uterine, cervical and testicular (in boys obviously). I don't know any real stats coz I don't use it so never bothered sorry. But corn flour is good or curash powder works really well especially with nappy rash that's already there but it has zinc oxide so dunno if you'd want to use that. You can get corn flour with the baby powder now in lots of places but it'll be the same just more expensive than in the baking isle.

Curash powder has talc in it. And fragrance. I use plain old corn flour, if you chuck in 30% arrowroot powder it stops it from clumping up in your shaker. It's a great preventative - I powder the big kid at most changes, it's pretty humid where we are and I think that causes it. Also too much fruit causes rash here, especially grapes and watermelon.

There were a heap of micro fleece liners in the stash of nappies I bought. I'm not using them as I use flushable liners.

If anybody wants them just PM me. If not I might put them in the swap section.

By the way they are used.

Well, I swear never to put a disposable on DS ever again! We went away for the weekend, so I had him in disposables while I washed all his nappies so they didn't fester while we were gone, with the intention of using sposies for the trip. DH came home from work the night before we left, changed DS and screeched at me to pack the itti's. Poor little boy has BLISTERS from being in sposies for half a day :/ thankfuly the place we were staying had a washing machine.

We use Johnson's cornstarch over here.. someone gave me a bulk lot at my baby shower. Seems to not cause any problems?

Lady_neon, that is what happened with us too, except it took 3 days. Now whenever we go away I will only book something with a washing machine. Horrendous

With my other kids I had to be careful which brand of sposies I used. Some are better than others, and some kids have reactions to the synthetics.

I just let them fester while we're away. Anything more than 3 days and I'll hit a laundrette. But I won't use s posies. Like TT, I'm just committed to not doing it. DD2 is a lifetime cloth bum; DD1 has used 7 sposies in her two years of life.

Got fluffy mail today. While I was napping! My awesome postie just popped it through an open window. Win! It's a Bubblebubs bamboo delight. I have heaps already, but I just love them!

I got fluffy mail today too! BBH night nappies large for DS2 and med for DS3. Also got a hemp fitted and a red Magic-all multi-fit! I'm so addicted to MCN/BBH shopping!

Also did everyone know BBH have a 25%off this week?

Used our last disposable for ds2 now. So this morning I show DH all the different types of nappies we have, and what fit which boy. He said it seems to make sense- guess we will how things go next time he changes a nappy! The best part was showing him the minky nappies, he stood there for 5 min running his fingers over it!
