    Cloth Nappy General Discussion #201

Ok I need some ideas please.
DD's recently gone from a light wetter to a heavy wetter. We use itti bitti nappies- the SIO's, AIO's and Tuttos. The sio's I'm using the trifold and the hourglass booster, the AIO as is, and the tutto with the long booster and I'm trying out the short one snapped in the front.
Can anyone recommend which boosters to use to get more absorbency please?

i like ittis but have found other brands to be more absorbent. if we are going for a long drive i tend to put on a bbh or GF, to limit leaks onto clothes.

have you done a strip wash lately?

Yup, I did I a strip wash a few days ago. The mini booster helps but I've only got a few and it's hard to know which nappy to put them in. They are still quite absorbent but need maximum boosting cause DD's feed intake has dramatically increased.

I use tuttos as my everyday type mainly nappy because they're the only ones dh 'gets'. For my heavy wetting ds I use the long booster with the mini booster snapped inside, and the medium booster as well. Because he's a boy itti bitti recommend swapping the boosters around, so purple to yellow and yellow to purple, and that's always worked well for us. Maybe have a look online to see what they recommend for girls?

I've always used the way Sepata does. Even with my girl. However, I found they just didn't either hold enough or weren't quick enough to absorb the wee DS used to throw at them.
The mini boosters aren't to exxie I don't think. I'll see if I have some spares.

FL I put off getting itti mini boosters for AGES coz even tho they aren't very expensive I thought they were so small they'd hardly make a difference... So wish I'd gotten them sooner! I use a booster in my AIOs all the time and sometimes my tuttos (so have 4 boosters to snap in) but that gets a little bulky as bubby gets bigger. You can just use a flannel or cloth wipe until you get more boosters, I did that for a while using mostly the itti cloth wipes folded over a few times.
Also what size have you got bub in, is it time to change up?

ETA how's everyone doing with the hunt? I've never done it before and only got around to joining this time a few days ago. I've found some already but wondering if anyone has any tricks for the sites that DON'T have the first clue on their homepage? I feel like I must be missing something but don't know what

I use a mini booster in all of my nappies in the morn as DD has so much more wee to give in the am. Then if we are out for a while i'll use the mini booster plus a longer booster from one of my pockets. I find all of my nappies only last 2-3 hours max (2-2.5 without a mini booster, 3 and abit with one) on DD otherwise the start to feel wet around the legs.

just a couple more dragonfly magics. I can resist anything with skulls on it...I think she knows this and just has one sitting in stock and casually lures me to her site so I have to buy it...and I think, there is no point just getting 1 and get another pretty to make it worth the postage...
im kot going to tell DH, just see if he notices a couple more in the stash

oooh! How did you get purple?!?! lol That and the seafoam were the only ones I really wanted.

I'm doing to nappy hunt. I always do it lol. I'm nearly finished, but I have noticed that there are many regulars that aren't sponsors this hunt.

ETA tips. Sometimes it's not an obvious clue on the home page. SOmetimes it's a 'hunters start here' or something similar in their menu. If I can't see anything, I hop over to their hint forum and look up that particular sponsor. Often people before you will have not been able to find it and they give hints.
