    Newborns and NOT using flats

Im not a huge fan of flats.....or a cover/nappy system...

I have heaps of BBH and CT...are they any good on a newborn? Not that id have a clue how to make them smaller to fit...maybe i should try!

But is this the best way to go for a newborn?

Id rather an AIO/Pocket kind for BumbleBee

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of flats either. I did use the BBH from newborn without problem, but then she was a big bub at 4.1kg. It's easy to get them to fit, you just fold down the front so the inside snaps are visable. But practise a couple of times first! I also liked the BG onesize. They come with a newborn insert now, which made them a good fit. A lot less bulky.

Hmmm got any bumg's newborn? they should fit well...

I think I used small monkey D's as well...

But I have to say - when Miss M was first born - I used a lot of prefolds or fitteds and covers.....

My green kids are still a bit bulky on her now at 4 months... swaddlebees would be ok I guess? Itti's are great too...

for the gk - you put the insert in to where the velcro part starts - fold it over - there ya go - little sizing..

I used a fair amount of different fitteds, verybaby, ericas, fj's newborn is brilliant, ct's... ummm... thinking thinking.....kissaluvs.... ummmmm.... thats all i remember off hand - I sent off all my newborn stuff to friends to use with their babies....

kim, I only have bbh, magicalls & itti bittis in my stash, and I've been using them on Emily since she was 2 weeks old. It's worked well. She was 3.65kg born, and quickly grew into a chubby baby. The bbh have always worked well for us at night. When she was a newborn, during the day she lived in magicalls & itti bittis.
I used flats with Nina when she was a newborn, never again!

love them! But they don't suit all babies. They would never suit Nina as she has wide hips, but Emily doesn't. Emily is long and narrow.

Kim I'm not too fond of the AIO's so far except for bubblebubs. Am having no leaks with fitteds/flats/preflds and covers.
