Newborns and NOT using flats

love them! But they don't suit all babies. They would never suit Nina as she has wide hips, but Emily doesn't. Emily is long and narrow.

q - doesnt the meconium poo stain them? Thats why i was planning to use flat for the first week or so, i didnt want to ruin the "good" nappies lol

Kim I'm not too fond of the AIO's so far except for bubblebubs. Am having no leaks with fitteds/flats/preflds and covers.

I have now got a heap of nappies from FJ on the way, plus my fitteds i have already.

Have some Cushie Tushies too but will wait til he is a little bigger for them..

And i spent up big on BG's cos they are $30 til tonight!

Not bad for $350 in nappies....in hmm....30 mins!

it will really depend on your babys size what you end up using at the start. the hospital had some really small flats which we used during our stay and it was only when we went to leave the hospital that we realised that liberty was too small for sposies and pretty much everything else so we used 2 facewashers placed together for thickness and folded in half like a triangle and a snappy to hold it together as a nappy!! she was 3.1kg born and 3kg before leaving hospital and 51cm with the scrawniest legs and it was her legs that were too skinny for nappies. it only took her about 3-4 weeks to be big enough though. hope u find something!

kim - i have been having a wonderful play with nappies - every one of them has been a success, no blow outs or any leaks at all!

itti's, kissaluvs, happy heiny sherpa, lovely bums and NB magicalls along with one or two others were our first few weeks. I will get some more kissaluvs for the next one and maybe some swaddlebees NB fitteds as i absolutely love the small organic fitted that i have from them.....
