Flannelette Flats?

i made my flanny flats...spotlight have nappy flannelette and i cut & sewed the myself.... oh and by the way snappis do grab flannelette.....well mine did anyways

Is flanette better than terry squares? Is it the same type of flanlette as the muslin wraps??

Generally the muslin wraps are quite sheer loosely woven cotton, so not the same material as flannelette flats.

As for whether they're better than terry squares - well they're trimmer. So for a newborn I find them heaps better, a terry flat seems far too bulky!

much prefer flannelette squares on a NB...but then i will still use them NOW on Jack.... they dry soo much quicker and are easy for NBs

Maybe I am thinking the wrong things...i have some flannelette wraps. I'm thinking I might be able to fold them into a nappy too??

Well I *think* I've seen muslin nappies, maybe for prems or something? Definitely for babies with not much output but I imagine they'd be even trimmer on a premmie. Your wraps will probably be absorbent if they're cotton, I just don't know how absorbent! The ultimate test will be to put it on your baby and see how it goes!

I used flannelette nappies (blue lined) on both DD and 20 years later still have some. I found the terry ones too bulky. A flannel wrap is larger than a nappy so may be to bulky.
The flannel ones I bought form Kmart were smaller than the blue lined and were great for a new born them I would put one inside a larger one, fold it and use as a night nappy.
Using pins isn't hard just need to make sure the end stays pointed and sharp.
