I have found this to be a problem too - but only with some of my nappies. My homemade bamboo prefolds have survived perfectly, but my bambooties are shredded and practically useless.

Nothing like a cuddle from DD after a hard day's work!
Can you try putting reuseable liners on so that if its the wee theory it mite get filterd by the liner?
