kissaluvs are great for newborns and have a snap down front for unbilical cords. As do swaddlebees nb.

I didnt use flats/prefolds at all but thats cos my babies we huge and went almost straight in to small in most nappies.

I reckon, esp in winter, your need at least 24 as a minimum.

    :yeahthat:
Prefold do dry a lot quicker though.
I don't know about now but I had heaps of trouble getting kissaluvs. I had 30 ish I think and I had a whopper too. That said though he was still too little for lots and at 14months and under 10kgs he's still wearing most that we started with, so you never can tell.
NB generally need changing 10-12times a day if that helps any.

I didnt have a problem when i got mine. Darlingd downunder and little koala have them, but LK are slow on postage in my experience.

My newborn has a stash of about 25 mcns and prefolds but I am loving the prefolds best atm - so easy and quick to change and dry (I have no dryer either). It does take a while to build up a stash, I have about 30 for my older boy in size large and some OSFM so I just need to build up my meds a bit. I had a premmie so finding cloth anps to fit her was hard but the Kissaluvs size o, monkey doodles, mio prefolds and (now not making but you can still find them) BBH newborns. I can help you with what I find quickest to dry with what I have in my stash if that helps?

For newborn I'd go through anywhere from 10 to 15 nappies a day.... I tried many a brand, from pockets to AIO's to fitteds, and personally I think fitteds were the way to go! Love the thirsties, raphaels and kissaluvs with the thirsties covers!

My bubs was 7lb 5oz and didn't grow into most OSFM until about 3-4 months... so until then he was in newborn and small sizes. From memory I think I had 30-40 but that was to ensure I never ran out, and there was always a good supply in the basket just incase! lol (And I washed every 1.5 days!)
