Make poo cleaning easier. That's about it.
We have been using liners with our cloth, mostly because thats what my mum did so I figured thats what you did, but reading some of these threads I assume most don't use liners? We use them to stop stains, although I've not used a liner a few times and none of out nappies have stains so I am wondering why I use them! I use the disposable ones, but now I realise I don't need them to stop stains then... why use them? Do they do anything else?
Do you use liners? Why / why not?

And if you are using creams then sometimes liners are good to protect the material. (depending on the cream i guess)
snap renstar! I was going to suggest the same thing.
oh yeah, that LOL!
However moogoo is great for mcn's but i just continue to use curash.
I love sudocream, the only thing that works for Jazz... so thats it then, just as a barrier for poo and cream?
What about the cloth ones? I've read that they can draw the moisture away? Is this true?
The only reason I would ever use liners is if DS had cream on his botty, to protect the nappy. If you use sudocreme definitely use liners cause that stuff will never come out, trust me!!
The sun gets out all stains, even the worst pooey stains and I've had some seriously pooey nappies
I've never used cloth liners so can't comment on them but there are so many MCN's that have an internal stay-dry lining anyway.
