I recommend getting a few styles ie. thin crotch, wide crotch, bamboo, hemp, microfibre, and finding what suits bub the most. Some babies suit some styles better than others. My kids suit wide crotch, but there are some bubs on here that only suit narrow crotch. There is a second hand nappy auction site, called buyforbaby dot com dot au, which has lots of really good preloved nappies, and you can do a hot wash (60 degrees) before using just to be sure they are clean enough.
