Definately agree with Mel. I spent up big before DD2 arrived only to have 10 of the ones I bought not fit her at all!!! Luckily I can pass them on to my sister. But it would have been much better to get a couple and see how they fit before you buy in bulk.

I agree with Ari. Put the money aside and then once your bub is here you can spend up big.

On a personal note though the terry nappies are worth a go. I spent heaps on several different types of cloth nappies and in the end it has been the terry ones that I use the most. They grow with bub, are a good price, make great spit rags and even do a great job on the car .

Also I found them easier to wash then the others.

Thanks for the insight guys. And good idea Mel! Why didnt I think of that!
Will have to hide the money (from myself) though.... or maybe get one of those tin money boxes that dont open without a can opener.
I hadnt taken into account the postage either. I was just planning to buy them in the local baby shop. I gues it would be cheaper to get them online, or in bulk. Going to ask the local shop if they have customer loyalty discount system.

    Thanks again you wonderful women!

I seriously reccomend trying buyforbaby and getting different ones. This is what I did, I have a rather 'large' stash for a 3 month old (see blog) and would buy one second hand/seconds/new on there before buying more from the proper supplier
