I use a chamomile and calandula flower tea solution for bum cleaning - this works fantatically.
both have soothing properties and the calandula has antispectic properties.
Just boil the kettle, make a cup of chamomile tea and do the same with calandular flower (from heath food shop - bit pricey but i have only used one box $7 in a year, so not really considering) then put in a pot (we use an old disposible wipes container) and dilude if you think necessary) and use in place of store bought wipes
MJ very rarely has nappy rash - only when teething or when we camped for over a week and she couldnt have a bath as it was freezing.
I have also heard of adding a drop of lavender oil to water and using this as a wipe solution.
I use cut up chux (and then bung in the wash) for wiping.
For liners i went to spotlight and bought a metre of fleece and chopped it all up- i have chuched away a few but all up it cost be about $10 and she has had liners for the last 16mths.
