I have now got a heap of nappies from FJ on the way, plus my fitteds i have already.

Have some Cushie Tushies too but will wait til he is a little bigger for them..

And i spent up big on BG's cos they are $30 til tonight!

Not bad for $350 in nappies....in hmm....30 mins!

Im not a huge fan of flats.....or a cover/nappy system...

I have heaps of BBH and CT...are they any good on a newborn? Not that id have a clue how to make them smaller to fit...maybe i should try!

But is this the best way to go for a newborn?

Id rather an AIO/Pocket kind for BumbleBee
I wasn't a fan of the prefold/flat system either Dom has been in AIO's since he left hospital (tried disposies for a day but he reacted to them) We had some newborn old style magicalls, XS bubblebubs and small ittis. He was 8.5lb so rather average and we had no problems. Only 1 blowout so far **touch wood** We also used kiss-a-luvs for night/home use - still use them with some boosting the majority of our stash though is bubblebubs an magicalls (new smooth and pre BBH styles)

Ash was 5kg born so probably not the best to go by buy we LOVED CT and BBH from the start, we used longies/mother ease rikki covers/BBH pul covers and had great success. I used flanny flats for about 2 weeks before I chucked that in because Ash was just weeing SO much!
I also used BG OS with great success They fit Ash great!
    Oh and small bubblebubs

it will really depend on your babys size what you end up using at the start. the hospital had some really small flats which we used during our stay and it was only when we went to leave the hospital that we realised that liberty was too small for sposies and pretty much everything else so we used 2 facewashers placed together for thickness and folded in half like a triangle and a snappy to hold it together as a nappy!! she was 3.1kg born and 3kg before leaving hospital and 51cm with the scrawniest legs and it was her legs that were too skinny for nappies. it only took her about 3-4 weeks to be big enough though. hope u find something!

kim - i have been having a wonderful play with nappies - every one of them has been a success, no blow outs or any leaks at all!

itti's, kissaluvs, happy heiny sherpa, lovely bums and NB magicalls along with one or two others were our first few weeks. I will get some more kissaluvs for the next one and maybe some swaddlebees NB fitteds as i absolutely love the small organic fitted that i have from them.....

Thanks Kitten....have you used the BumG's yet?

I think i have way to many nappies now...so once bub is 2/3 weeks old MCN begins!
