I have dubbed the magic all's "husband nappies" lol......

Kat - The only nappies I dont use liners in are already lined in microfleece IYKWIM. We use 5 nappies per day on Em, and 2 on Sarah. Sarah only wears nappies for her sleep times. Em has never been a huge wetter.

WOTB: same as before, nap time is nearly over though.

ARIMEH - to get our nappies dry, we have a pedestal fan going, positioned in front of the clothes horse (full of MCN). this is how we dry ALL our laundry, EVEN SHEETS, it works for us, and is cost effective too. Running a fan is much cheaper than running a drier.

Have you ever tried a NIGHT POCKET? purely from the drying time perspective, it might be useful to you. e.g the bits for bots fleece pockets (not their night pockets which are fitted pockets and made of absorbent fabric).

I was told, if you leave a baby in a wet nappy, that brings nappy rash, so we def change wet or poopy. Some kids only poop once a week! so if you only changed the poopy nappies, i would dread to think, the state of that bub's bottom!

FJ - glad everything is going so well for you, that's FANTASTIC hon!

Bilby shrieked with delight, started dancing on the spot, when she saw zebra striped minky (trainers) on our clotheshorse, miz bilby is developing "her tastes". I told her "that's what big girls wear when they do their wee and poo in the potty" - she disappeared and came back with a potty, looking at me expectantly. Took her nappy off, got her to sit FOR ONE SECOND on said potty, not interested !

WOTBB: 36 degress at childcare, i have "trusted" them with MINKY pockets for the first time!

anyone's dh's struggling with Little Squirt, get them to read the instructions (google for them)
if you depress the lever HALF WAY DOWN you don't squirt the walls, gentle does it. Less is more etc etc.
if you press it FULLY - you'll get wet walls.
object you are squirting - do them one at a time - hold object low in toilet bowl
i'm sure Suse put FABBO directions up once.

Gigi - oooh a fan.. never thought of that... might try that - THANKS!!!!!

As for night pockets - we do use GK anytimes and minky's for night times - but the bamboo inserts take so long to dry here..... plus I don't have enough microfibre (which I always use on top of the bamboo...)

Cluck Cluck Cluck!!!!! I dont think I can wait 31.5 weeks!!!

Sarah is rather accident prone today - But no toilet accidents. She has fallen forwards and hit her head twice, and she fell backwards off her chair and landed on the back of her head on the tiles poor kid. I cant move fast enough when I see her start to fall!!

Mel, I use the ceiling fans. They are always on anyway.

Gigi, Mel's biggest problem is the humidity is on it's way in. Apparently nothing dries when the air is thick and wet. I am not looking forward to when that really sets in!

    WOSB: Purple knickers
WOEB: whatever DH put on her when he popped home for an hour before going to a sports carnival that he is not involved in but has to be at anyway until 9pm

Ali's right - my biggest problem is the humidity. I don't know what its been like up north, but we had several days in a row where the humidity here was like 89%.. and now we've had a couple of days of rain...

    FJ - he is GORGEOUS.

wow, where are you Arimeh, to get humidity that high?
my "fan and the clothes horse idea" works in our dry climate way down south, dunno if it works where humidity is 89%!!!

the secret of pockets, is to have MORE bamboo trifolds, than you do pocket shells. So you keep cycling thru the same pockets, with whatever bamboo trifold happens to be dry at the time.

THANKS for lovely pic FJ! you knew that's what we all wanted LOL.

WOTBB: minky pocket nappy, in the highchair eating yogurt, yes, one thing she will deign to eat THIS week. i cannae guarantee it NEXT week.

Gigi - I'm on the Sunny Coast - I think brisbane was having the same kind of temps - but we are 20 minutes in from the coast - and we basically live in a hole (as in, you come DOWN into Nambour... and stay there.. lol) so we get different heat than even Maroochydore does which is only 20 minutes drive away.

    stupid nambour weather.

Oh well.. DH is home now.. probably get up me for having the dryer on most of the day to get some nappies dry
