Ok, first lessons in NB cloth...

When using a prefold (or I guess any fitted style) make sure the cover is coving all of the nappy. Yes even the little bit that is exposed at the back, wee WILL travel that far & WILL wick on to clothes

AI2 styles of nappies really are made for SHORT wear. Example: a white Minkee Bettlebum will not last a 4 hour sleep.

Yes at less then a week old, some sort of "night" nappy will be needed. Just not necessarally going to be at night the long stretch happens

So so far 2 leaks. But more wicking then "leaks"

Off to do a load of washing.

Iain- Cotton prefold & minkee cover (me thinks I will be washing sheets when he wakes, no way that will last more then an hour if he stays asleep LOL

    Well done Kat!!!

Fluffy mail has arrived!! 4 small magicalls, 2 Wahms, 2 fluffies and a maternity top!!

I did the grocery shopping last night and found some cleaning cloths that I thought I would give a go as boosters. They are 82% bamboo and 18% corn fibre. DO they sound like they would be good, or only use as cleaning cloths?

    Yay Kat - well done

I can't believe people leave their babies in nappies for that long!!!! Thats what is bad about disposables - that you can leave them on that long and it just keeps on sucking away that pee!!!! poor kiddies... I'm all sad now..

    Anyhoo...

Nappy news - uh.. nope... getting the girls at daycare to have a go with some ittis today cos I ran out of "easy" nappies for Miss M...

katones - Well done! Next challenge is to convert other mummies to MCN in the parents room! I've got Monkey Doodlez wetbags, from the wee wuns. Most online nappy places have a few different ones. Nurturenappies have some cute prints if you like, too. I like the monkey doodlez ones coz they have a strap and clip so you can hang them off the pram or whatever, coz they dont always have dirty dudz in them! Oh, and they come in RED! lol

ali - sounds interesting... maybe try the blue liquid test like on tv ads??

FJ - you have a newborn that sleeps more than 4 hours??? I wanted one of them! Can I get a refund, I think mine's broken... I know it's not exactly cloth, tho not exactly a sposie either, but I used some of the eenee pads with a flanny flat and a cover in the early days to prevent that leaking/wicking if bubs ever did go to sleep. They've been useless for anything else, I've since discovered...

WOHB: Black BP and flames babylegs. Showing off at the shops, and he fell asleep in the sling on the way home on the bus!

LOL problem is, this is happening during the day. Night he is up every 2 hours so far. Im sure he will settle in to something a bit more user friendly soon enough though LOL
    Wishful thinking I know!
