Reuse Flushable Liners?

I use flushable liners, which has made the transition to cloth so easy. However I don't like throwing out the ones that just have wee on them. Especially since one on the main reasons I switched to cloth was to save money.

I think I heard that you can put flushable liners in the wash and get a second use out of them. Has anyone tried this? I have a front loader and it is very gentle. When I accidentally wash a tissue it usually comes out whole.

I'm lazy and my liners usually go through the wash and come out in fairly good condition at the other end. Depends what brand as to how well they do. I've never re-used but I think you probably could if you really wanted to.
Have you thought about just getting some cloth liners?

I wash and reuse my flushable liners that have only been weed on all the time

(and this is really embarrassing.... shhhh.... and I iron them so they are nice and flat again.... don't tell anyone.... I don't even iron DH's business shirts for work but I iron disposable nappy liners)

You could easily make some out of microfleece. You can just cut them out and it won't fray. Soooo cheap. But yes I have some flushable ones that I have washed many times. They don't travel well in the dryer tho hehe!

Ok, I'm going to try washing them. I don't think I'll iron them though lol!

Maybe I'll try cloth liners down the track, but I'm just finding flushable ones so easy. Also means I don't need poo scraping equipment like I read about in another thread!

I'm struggling to find something as satisfying as flushing a poo down the toilet without having to touch it. Ahhhh.... the simple things

We just throw the wet ones in the wash with the cloth nappies....they last ages. We use them again and again and again!

i wash and reuse disposible swim nappies that have only been wee'd in! they wash fine too

Oh I wash swim nappies too. I think i only used two out of the small packet over a 4 month period...

So might try with the liners... thanks girls...


p.s. Rach you are too funny...I can see you sneaking in the middle of the night to iron them by candlelight...!!! hehehe...
