It depends on what kind of system of nappies you are wanting to do. Like, if you want to go old school with flats and covers, or if you want to move into the more modern cloth like all-in-ones, fitted nappies (which need covers) or pocket style nappies.
Once you determine which kind of system you would prefer to be doing - then you'll know what kind of questions you need to ask.
Personally, we don't use flats that often in this house - easier to whack on a nappy that is prefolded into shape, rather than have to do origami in the middle of the night!!! LOL
Plus with the modern cloth nappies you don't need to soak them, just wash them like you do all your clothes. I use three nappy buckets here, but thats just to keep them in until wash day, no soaking needed
There are a few websites to check out that will help you on your "quest"... I think if you google modern cloth nappies you will come up with a few - oz cloth nappies is one I think... or modern cloth or something like that.. can't remember off the top of my head..
