DD went straight from MCN nappies to undies at 2.5 - up until that point she refused flat out to even go near the potty. She just did it when she was ready. We have had 4 accidents and that's it. I agree that without the cognitive function or the ability to pull their pants down or tell you they need to go it makes things very difficult (mainly for you).
