    10 weeks & teething :( or so i think?!

My lil DS is only just over 10 weeks old and for the last 7 or so days he has been out of sorts! I have noticed lots of dribbles (soaking his singlets), fists in mouth and chewing on them, runny poo (gross), flushed checks, super sooky (generally a happy chappy), not drinking (he is usually a gutz), not sleeping (he was sleeping through), scratching and pulling on his ears (even drew blood OUCH) and the clincher... two white bumps on his bottom gum!! I know all the signs point to teething but is he too young?

When I called to make an appointment with the family health nurse for this coming week she asked if he had any reaction to his immunisations (over a fortnight ago) I said no (he was fine the week following being jabbed) but that I now thought he was teething she dismissed this and said it was more likely a reaction to his needles! GRRR So being the stubborn mummy that I am I cant wait to take him this Friday and for her to see the BIG bumps he has going on in his lil mouth!!!!!!

Anyway, what can I do in terms of relief for such a lil one? I am using Infants Friend but everything else seems to be for older bubs! So horrible to see him in suffering at such a young age

My twins are 16 weeks tomorrow and having been doing the same as you describe in your post. Mine have never really been good sleeper but now they are even worse, they use to sleep from their last bottle at 10pm to about 3-4am now they only make it until 2am and are unsettled until their 6am bottle. Then when they do get their bottle they just play with it. My son also was a good drinker and would gutz his bottle, now I have to force feed him to get him to drink half of it. I have had them checked by the doctor and there is nothing else wrong with them and they really wouldn't comment about whether it was teething or not.
