Raupe my family is from Latvia and we have a lot of amber jewellery, I think it is the size of the pieces. I have a necklace worth a few hundred dollars and the beads are very large, same with a ring I have. The teething necklaces use such small ones, they must be much cheaper. That's my theory anyway, not sure if it is true x
