Happened to my DS3 at about 4-5 weeks as well (he's BFd). We used infant's friend, which seemed to help. I also took him to a chiro for some adjusting - his cranials and pelvis were locked up, and in particular his pelvic area issues were impacting on his gut ... long story short, it led to wind pain and colic. I also took DS3 to the dr to get him checked over after a few days of seemingly bad wind/colic issues. It turned out he had a slight ear infection (which cleaned up of its own accord within a few days).

Other things that helped with DS3's wind pain were cycling his legs and pushing his legs up to his tummy, nappy free time plus doing the cycling/lifting of legs, bath time and then gentle tummy massage with oils. I also slept him on his tummy during the day (use your own discretion on that one as it goes against SIDS advice). I also discovered I couldn't eat nachos ... his wind "attack" happened 24 hours after a delicious feed of gourmet nachos (boo hoo).

    Hope bub feels better soon.
