I have asked the CHN and Pead but they dont know what would cause it and dont appear concerned. Bub is happy and healthy and this tinge has been happening for about 3 weeks now.
He started solids after the blue poo started appearing so it isnt related to that. Could it be the losec, bub is on 10mg once per day?
My guess it is the losec. I don't know if it can do that, but I know my boys have had weird colour poos after eating various things. In fact, I have in the past known what colour paints they used at day care that day from the colour of the poo LOL!

I am one of the naturopaths at the Belly Belly Pregnancy centre.If the blue tinged poo started before your little one was on solids and the only thing apart from milk he was taking was the losec then the obvious link is to say it might be this. Would he have been sucking on any toys or anything that could have had any blue paint or dye on it at this time? I think if it is happening every day consistently I would take him off the losec for a short time and see if it stops ( you could use a natural remedy during this time).You definitely don't want this to continue for too long.

I am brand new to this site - haven't even done my profile up or anything yet...teehee It's just that I am having problems with #2 son, did a google search on 'blue poo' and was lead to this forum...LOL!
When he was 3 months old, I thought I'd take him off his Losec (bad move) was FAR TOO soon went 10 steps back and I then noticed his poos had an almost 'blue tinge' to his normal greenish poos. I didn't think too much of it then, put him back on his Losec meds and life returned to *bliss*
He's now 6 months and I have had him on solids for what 2 months. I have noticed over the last couple of days he's almost showing signs of what he was like without his Losec meds and his poo is going a bluey tinge again?! So, I am thinking, until I can get into see my Pead or GP (and how hard is THAT to do.....that's another issue all together) I am going to double his dose (I do know that it's safe, as about 2 months ago the doc said with his weight he was allowed up to 30mg a day) So, he's put on weight and I am only double it, which will mean max 20mg.
Just thinking.......I have read the replies.....but do you think it's a good idea or not, or have you had similar situations???
