    Chiropractor for Reflux?

    Hey guys,
I have been recommended to try a chiropractor for little one's reflux - so had our first session today. She screamed through the whole thing but mainly because she was tired and also because it was a bit new to her.

Just want to know if anyone has tried this as a treatment option and if so, how much success did you have?

    Thanks
    Sue x

I can't help in relation to the reflux, DD is only a mild chucker after a feed, but she does see my chiro when I do. She has let go of some rip roaring farts whilst being adjusted which can be quite funny, so it obviously releases something! She cries sometimes, other times not, but always has a super good sleep afterwards, which my chiro said would happen.

Hope it helps your LO with her reflux

a friend of mine takes her DS to the chiro - he has silent reflux - and she says it has made a huge difference to him!
She has been able to slowly recrease his medication

I've taken all my kids to the chiro, not just for reflux (which they all had) but its good to get them adjusted after birth anyway

All my bubs have been to a paediatric chiro and it has had wonderful results. DS2 had mild reflux that went away within 5 days of his session . I take DD after her immunisations (which leave her very unsettled) and she comes home a new baby.

I took my DS to the chiro on ~Trish~ recommendation this week, also for reflux. DS has very bad reflux and is on medication for the acid. He also screamed when he had the adjustment; his neck was out. We have to go back two more times, but if it works I'll be so happy. I haven't noticed a change yet but he does seem to have more movement in his neck as he was favouring one side.

That's good news that he has more movement in his neck queen bee! I hope you start to see results soon, sometimes it can take a couple of adjustments and a few extra days.

Hi Sue, I've seen heaps of babies who have had loads of problems respond really well with just a few adjustments. Things it can help with are colic, reflux, sleeping, restlessnes, fussy eating, ear infection etc, it's important to remember that chiropractic isn't just about relief of symptoms, it's about unblocking interference to the nerve system so that all those important messages can get from the brain to all the organs, cells and tissues of the body. If your spine is out of alignment than there are blockages which can be the cause of the reflux. I am sure you will see many different benefits from chiropractic not just relief of the reflux. Hope that helps

Well after the recommended 3 adjustments, I have not seen an improvement unfortunately, but it was worth a try. I don't think I will continue as it was a long way to travel (1 hour). Just have to wait for him to grow out of it and buy lots of bibs, lol.
