    Happy Chucker goes solid

so, my so-called happy chucker has been flirting with solids lately. problem is, the formerly manageable white milk spew has been replaced with orange sweet potato spew.

did your reflux baby respond to solids? what happened?

at what age did the reflux resolve? did it resolve'?

    Hi there

My happy chucker is now 21 and thriving!! Solids made no difference to her vomiting and as she got older she knew when she was about to throw up. Sometimes we could also hear the reflux start, which was gross. I think she stopped vomiting at about 2. At the time I was told by a paediatric gastroenterologist that sometimes it improves when a baby reaches a certain weight (sorry I have forgotten what weight). My daughter was quite small, but from what I can remember she did stop when was that weight. We were really used to it by the end, but it was rather revolting as she started eating family meals. What made it worse that she was also really loud. I remember taking her to a feed and change demonstration and she threw up in the bath. I am sure we traumatized most of the students that day.
    Enjoy your happy chucker

solids didn't do anything for my happy-chuckers chucking! Just changed the colour! He stopped chucking when he was around 14 months i think, although even now he has the occasional chuck when he's drank lots of water before having food so i guess the reflux is still there abit but not remotely as strong (if thats the right word??) - he's nearly 2 now.

I just hope you don't have too much carpet in your house
