is he teething?

DS is almost 9 months, and has not cut any teeth yet.

he's been a drooling machine since around 3 months old, and so we have basically been expecting them any day since ... but none have arrived!

now, as I'm breastfeeding, I'm ok with this!!

but for the past couple of days, J-man has (for the first time ever, really) been an absolute velcro-mumma's-baby on and off! really, really upset if we're apart too much, not going down for his usual naps, etc ...

now, the velcro baby stage wasn't a huge surprise - we were expecting it sooner or later, but what we were pretty surprised by was that it was for me! given that DH is the full time daddy, we always thought that when he got to a clingy stage, it would be for him ...

so he's still drooling all over the shop, chewing everything in sight, but now he's also clingy and not wanting to go down for naps ... I'm really that he sleeps well tonight (he did last night, thenk goodness! only slept on and off the night before ...)

no sign of explosive diarrhoea or particularly pungent urine, though ...

but does it sound like teething?

That does sound like teething. They are the symptoms my DD has. I was very shocked to see teeth coming through at 5 months and shes now got another 2 cutting through. he sounds like he is coping quite well with the teething. Do his gums look any different? DDs the first time werent any different but now they are so swollen./
