I was going to suggest sorbolene as well. Make sure you get one with minimal glycerol in it. I have a jar from the chemist and its a bit thicker. It works quite well. I put it on DD's face after a bath so that it works its magic overnight and her rash goes away. Also when wiping his face, avoid using tissues, a warm face washer instead seems to cause less irritation to the rash. HTH

My health nurse said to try lansinoh, the one you use when you breastfeed, it worked within a couple of days, before that I had tried everything like sorbolene, baby balms etc,,,

DS2 has bad dribble rash and I use Lansinoh or marclain (both nipple creams) and other times his amber teething necklace, it clears it up well too!!!
