Losec - when did you stop?

When did you stop giving your bub losec? Our pediatrician had us stop last week (well, not "had" but suggested we give it a try) - DS was about 18-19 weeks adjusted (add 4 weeks for actual). I'm wondering if it was too soon? DS has silent reflux so I have no spitting up signals - he has been fussier but I can't tell if it's the reflux or the Wonder Week period he's in at the moment.

We only stopped about a month ago so she was 19 months!!! And she was a silent reflux bub too. I can still hear it coming up and then going down again sometimes but it doesn't seem to distress her anymore.

I've been told most bubs come off it at about 6 months and if its not gone by then, 12 months and so on.

We didn't stop until 12 months. I think we tried a bit earlier and put her back on again, can't quite remember. But we were still increasing the dose at 5 months and didn't consider thinking about it until at least 10 months.

hmm - it's so hard to know with silent reflux - he's drooling like crazy (we feel his first tooth) - so it's even hard to tell what's going up and down his throat IYKWIM. I'm picking up a new bottle tomorrow and will probably put him back on if he has another difficult night tonight.
