Bella has been a bit off the last few days and does have a stuffy nose but has also been doing a little spew an hour or so after her feeds that just trickles down her cheek not heaps just a little bit. She has been a bit sad too and she can be fine and smiling and all of a sudden give a squeel and start to cry. Shew also makes some gurgling noises like maybe the milk rising in her throat??
She has not been burping very well the last few bottles but she is certainly learning how to pop off!
So would this be mild reflux or just maybe some left over wind and over flow of milk?
She is nealy 6 weeks and is drinking NAN HA 1 gold and drinks about between 90 and 150 mls each time - though at the moment she isnt drinking like she has been - maybe her cold or symptom of reflux??
Sorry started to ramble on there abit!
I am terrified that she will choke in her sleep - so much so it makes me cry!
Reflux is typically when they can't sleep, wake up screaming, pull off the bottle with weird expressions and cry, bring their legs up to their chest - and vomit!! Silent reflux is that without the vomit. They are usually really unsettled and cry alot.
No not really like her - maybe its just wind or colic (is there a difference??) She drinks well and only doesnt drink when she is full up. She isnt a screamer at all - only really cries when she is hungry or windy.
She gets wind after her feeds - she does the arching back thing and scrunches her legs up but if you put her up on your shoulder and pat her back she stops and usually goes to sleep!
She sleeps for 3 hrs at night bw feeds and doesnt wake up crying at all - only grizzles as she is hungry.
Maybe just wind then - I was just stressing out about the little spews - like they are tiny and they just run down her cheek - maybe 2-3 a day - would there be more if it was Reflux??
To ease your mind...It is incredibly difficult for babies to choke...they have the best gag reflex. My little one can spew a fountain of vomit on her back.
