Anyone found their baby had colic/wind related to mothers diet? What were the main triggers and how long did it take to improve once you cut them out?

I was told broccoli & cabbage. I didn't quite exclude from diet. Just toned it down. But I think orange juice was also another culprit for us. After I moderate everything, things seemed a bit settled. But to be honest I can't decide if it's the diet or just grew out of a phase. Sorry if this isn't much help.

I think my little man gets much more gas wind from tomatoes I've noticed an increase in his passing wind when I have eaten that the night before (note to self - had tomato salsa today) fun tmrw! Lol
Yes, I think my kids tummies were quite sensitive to alot when they were really little. I found in particular, it was chocolate, dairy foods (which they were later intolerant to when they were older and on solids),spicy foods, tomato-ey dishes like spaghetti bol, cruciferous veggies (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower...). I ended up having a VERY bland diet for a few months, until about 4-5mths when I started to reintroduce foods slowly.
Sugar does it to my kids. A bit makes them windy and a bit spewy, a lot gives them reflux.
Yes I had a daughter with silent reflux and I remember after a few months thinking I'd try tacos for dinner and wow did she suffer. I had to cut out dairy, onions, broccoli, cabbage, anything gassy, anything acidic tomatoes, orange juice etc.
Yep, Cauliflower Soup which is a winter staple for me was a no-no the winter I was breastfeeding DS, and we had thai one night and had the most upset windy little man after so I was also careful with spicy foods too. Most other things seemed ok for us
In my work most babies respond well to the mother taking the brassicas family out of her diet, cabbage, cauliflower, leek, onion, garlic, broccoli are the main ones. Chocolate and tea/coffee is another few things that you can take out. THis is really only for the first few months though, how old is your little one?? Most people that take the brassicas out of their diet see a big change in their babies wind. Reflux is acid forming foods as well.
Allergies can affect your child when they are no longer newborns, my daughter had severe eczema I had to take out all acid forming foods (which is SO much) but I saw the affects quickly so I didn't find it difficult to stop eating the foods.

He's only 5 weeks lbf so I think it's still worth trying to cut out the trigger foods at this age? Will try the basics, coffee, chocolate as well as the vegie line you suggested. I guess I should expect to see some improvements in a few days?
For sure it will take only a couple of days for it to make a difference. Goodluck with it, I would do this until at least 8 weeks and then one by one try the foods and see the reactions. Garlic and onion are usually the ones that make a difference so be sure to cut them out totally. Hope it goes well for you, ask any questions as you go x
