Neurofen ad/teething necklace

Both my kids had/have the necklaces & both still needed panadol & nurofen & teething gel. My kids have tough gums I have got heaps of questions about their necklaces too. I do think they help especially in the moving stage but they don't work much during the cutting stage.

I havent used them yet, but have seen them. Can someone explain how they are meant to help/work?
