My eldest DD didn't get her first 2 until 9 and a half months. DD2 got 5 in 2 weeks at 8 and half months. A friend at playgroup has a daughter who is a bit over 11 months and still hasn't any. I wouldn't worry - all babies are different and develop at different times. I was told that it was better to teeth later if that helps? I don't know if it's true but I went with it, lol!
I wouldn't be worried, my DD is almost 10 months old and has these 2 tiny tiny little bottom teeth. Honestly, they are so small when I tell people and show them they say things like "I think I can see them?" I still had a baby tooth at high school so I'm doubting my DD is going to be sprouting them soon. All in all I see it as a blessing, the longer I can delay that whole teething thing, the better.
My DD was 11 months before she cut her first tooth. I think it was much easier to deal with than it would have been having a younger child teething. My mum said I didnt cut my first tooth until 14 months and I have beautiful teeth now!
I dont know whather DD teethed quickly compared to other bubs but it did seem like she just woke up one day with a mouthful of teeth lol
My DS didn't get his first tooth until nearly 13 mths and then second one soon after...at 15 mths he now also has on top left and just cut a eye tooth.
My DD(8) got her first tooth at 14 months. Seriously, I was just about to organise dentures. She did teethe quickly and had all her deciduous teeth, including 2 year old molars, by 18 months. She was already so settled in her sleeping routine that teething was no problem at all - she would wake up in the morning and I would realise she had sprouted a new tooth! She 'cross cut' so new teeth just popped up all over the place in no particular order.
She also seems a little slower to lose her deciduous teeth than a lot of her peers. She had 6 adult teeth now but no loosies happening.
I too have been told that late teethers have stronger teeth and lose them a lot later but I thought it was people trying to make me feel better!!
I just felt her bottom gum when she fell asleep and it feels like there is a little lump under one side at the front but I can't actually SEE anything. Perhaps it could be her first tooth? She doesn't seem to be in any pain so perhaps it will only bother her when it cuts (if it's even a tooth I can feel!!)?
My DD didn't get her first tooth until a few days after her first birthday. She got about 8 over the next few months but then nothing. She is 18 months now and still only has 4 on top and 4 on bottom. No molars yet.
Kelbels my DD gets lumps all the time in her mouth and they just come and go. I get all excited like "teeth!!" but then the next day she's just gummy again.
My little man did not get his first tooth until 18 months (!) and it was a molar. He is now 20 months and only has two molars and his bottom two have just come though in the past couple of weeks.
Would you believe the first tooth popped through this morning at almost 12 months! No fuss, we felt a lump a couple of days ago and wallah, new tooth this morning
Thanks for your stories, I'm very excited and a little sad that my little gummy bear is no longer! Fingers crossed they all come through with no fuss but I don't like my chances...
