I am not in your situation but was reading your story and thought I would post to send you a big hug and best of luck for things improving.
One thing I will add, stick to your guns and keep seeking answers for the best way to treat your little one. I was diagnosed at 20 months with ceoliac disease in the 1970s and the only reason I was (it was an unusual thing to be diagnosed with in those days) was because my mother refused to listen to Drs telling her she was wrong...I was very underweight and malnourished, was oly just walking etc etc and once I was on the diet I flourished....and it was her toughness that got me there
A doctor said to me once, sometimes when you hear hooves, you have to look for zebras - not horses..
