    Reflux and sinus problems

    Hi again everyone,

Looking for any advice again as really am at my wits end and getting no closer to getting my sons reflux sorted.Hes on Losec now just doubled the dose to 10mg on Friday after going back to the doctor for the 4th time.I told her I hadn't slept any longer than 2 hours since he was born 4 mths ago and she was shocked. She wasn't his normal doctor as he was away.I said when I do sleep its sitting up in bed as he wants to comfort feed all night. He has improved a bit during the day with Losec but the nights are still terrible. What I have noticed and whats worrying me the most is that when hes been asleep for a while even 20 mins when he wakes up his breathing is terrible like his nose is complelty conjested and hes very upset and uncomfortable. Its always worse if hes been lying even a little bit flat. Its really really bad and horrible to listen to.There is definantly something going on with his sinusues but I don't know what.Could the acid from the reflux damaged something by getting into his nose etc.I have also stopped his formula and I have stopped eating diary only since Thursday. How long usually would you expect to say any difference from this.I am worried as well it may be something more serious. The poor wee fella at night is so tired and wants to sleep but just can't.Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.I really don't see a time when this will be sorted.Even now it sounds snuffly and conjested.I did wonder as well about things like a deviated septum or nasal polpys or an allergy to cats.,pollen etc. There has to be a reason for it.

    Found it
Its called Dysphagia and the Babywhisperer.com site has a great forum post on it if you serch Dysphagia or fussy feeding. This may be your bub, not sure but hope it helps. Maybe you should print it off and take it to your GP and ask for a referal to a Pead spec.
    GOOD LUCK
