Jambin keeps doing major spews all down the front of himself and myself - I am so sick of the smell of sour milk.
The Zantac seems to be helping his general disposition (better sleeping, less crying, less pain), but there was no vomiting at all until recently. He used to swallow the vomit back down again ... now he waits until I'm hugging him, then bleurgh ... all down the front of both of us *sigh*
He's got impecable timing too ... every time I dress him up nicely to go visit people, I can guarantee a big spew either just as I strap him into his car seat, or just as I arrive at our destination
Cherie,
Mason was a "happy chucker" so I know where you're coming from. All I can say is bibs bibs bibs and make sure you take a change for yourself too. Once I was getting undressed for bed and saw on my top a big line of spew down the back of my jumper. I'd escaped down to Coles for a bit of lonesome shopping time wearing it too. How embarrassment!
LOL Sammi! I went to a work function the other day, and Jambin had chucked down the front of my black shirt. A colleague said she though it was a design in silvery embossing until she took a closer look
Caro - yes, it's frustrating having the constant possetting isn't it! It doesn't seem to bother Jambin much - I'm just tired of all the extra laundry lol.
I have a happy chucker here too... and Cherie, I so hear you on the extra washing!!! the other day, I was totally out of all my longer sleeved tops because Harrison had spewed all over them... My poor washing machine is certainly getting a workout!!!
I am with you!! I don't have anything that hasn't been spewed on, even my shoes! Thank god I can have the carpets cleaned as he has left little trails all over the house!
Imran was a happy chucker and the spew was horrible. We co-sleep and he must have chucked up in his sleep one night because i woke up with it in my hair. I nearly spewed myself when i figured out why it felt so weird...
Hey Cherie, didn't you know that spew is the new 'black'? It's a trendy new look that only special mummies get to wear. I have been extra trendy for the last year but in the last few weeks my bub has finally seemed to grow out of his reflux so i'm back to being plain-jane again.
(except when i'm nayghty and eat chocolate as he also has a dairy intolerance that makes him chuck still).
LOL Chloe that happened the other night here...I moved Jovie to switch sides in bed & she chucked all over my neck & hair just missing my mouth!! Thankfully....*shudder*
to you, now there's sick on me! LOL. DD wasn't too bad when she was small, unless i'd had OJ and then it was everywhere, but she recently had a legendary episode of carsickness. We had to BUY her a new outfit, and when we stopped immediately after (we were en route to some rellos) to clean up a little i had to *empty* the car seat when i'd taken her out of it.. BLUERGHHHHH! I am NEVER giving her Heinz pumkin smoosh again - she'll eat it but the smell makes me feel green!
Hang in there. Maybe you have to get a chuckie uppie one because he is SOOOOO handsome. Evens things up
I have mastered the art of placing the "spew rag" in the right place just at the right time. DH still hasn't worked this one out yet, so I think he is being spewed on more than me! I still have to check myself before I leave the house though as sometimes he manages to get it in my hair, or right down the back of me.
The other week I was at the pharmacy picking up Nic's Losec and as I lifted him off my shoulder, he spewed (A LOT!!!) and it went straight down the arm of my jumper and pooled in the elbow! There was another woman there looking at me with sympathy, then I realised she was picking up the same meds for her son!!
Cherie hun, I don't think you will ever come across a mum that says "oh yeah, bring it on - love the smell of sour milk" LMAO. It's a bond we all share. The only time I was ever happy that Lindsay did a huge one was the very first time my Dad's wife picked him up and she copped it big time LOL. DH even used to call Erin 'the bomber' as she would leave little 'bomb's all over the floor when she was crawling - ah, those were the days
Hi Cherie! Hehe, the memories...ahhhh... Riley was a HUGE chucker...all day, every day... I just took a spare set of clothes for me and him everywhere I went and I never had him without a bib on while he was awake. I also had 2 'spew rags' handy at all times - which generally got swapped for fresh ones every few hours. The good news is that now (with Losec) Riley rarely spews up his feeds...it's GREAT!
All but Evie were happy chuckers so I hear you Cherie! I didn't even bother wearing perfume (or black!) as that's all you could smell. Mine constantly had a bib around their necks. They grow out of it - but it's a pain I know...
ahhh Cherie i feel for you. Yeah the Zantac will help the pain factor but as far as the spewing goes it just keeps coming up....
Nixon was a huge spewer till he was about 9months old and started sitting upright.
I lived with a spew rag over my shoulder for most of those months i think and like some others have said he had a bib on pretty much the whole time he was awake! used to annoy me also that he had all these nice clothes that got covered up with bibs all the time.
oh and ive been out of the house many times with unknown dried spew on my clothing lol!
One day Dh came home from work and he had a nice big patch of it on his shoulder that he had been walking around all day with and didnt know about it!
