Hi my 6 month old son has been vomitting since birth. We have tried so many different things to stop the vomitting but nothing has helped. He has had test after test and does not have relflux. A barium swallow confirmed this as well as 2 USS.
Anyway we have tried infant gaviscon, thickner before a breastfeed, during a feed and after a feed. Have tried Caro's mixture. positioning, you name it we have tried it. He started to lose weight and ended up in hospital twice. So we needed to do something. It was no longer just a laundry problem.
I have recently started expressing for him and putting karicare thickner in a bottle and he is much better, but still vomits small amounts. He is also on solids 3 times a day. He vomits more of the solids than the milk now.
Any other suggestions?? He is not on any meds now because he doesn't have reflux. He is not in any pain at all, just the vomitting.
Will this ever end??
