teething rash?

DS is teething at the moment & also has a red rash on his face. one patch seems to be dribble-related - it's where his drool seems to gather & he had it in the same place last time he was teething. but in the last day or so, it's started coming up over the rest of his face. the main patch is about the size of a 5c piece but the rest is more just scattered spots (looks a bit like teenage acne).

i'm wondering whether this is all teething related? could the other patches just be where he's rubbed his dribble-covered hands or a general teething rash? or maybe something else completely?

if it was just the one patch, i'd be okay about it but now i'm wondering if we should go to the doctors?

has anyone experienced something similar?

Can you pop into the chemist and ask them? They're usually pretty good with stuff like that and might save you a trip to the doctor!
