Hi Everyone,

Just another question on Losec. My 3 and half month old was prescribed Losec last Monday half a table. The pharmacist made it up into a liquid as she said this would be easier to administer. She was wrong! We tried everything in formula, breastmilk, off a spoon in a syringe but he just hates the taste of it.After many phone calls with the pharmacist I went back and got the tablets instead. As his dose is half a tablet she said I would need to open them and count the tiny balls inside and half them(there are 70!)and to put it on pureed pear. The problem was his age so I had to make sure he was allowed pear. The nurse I spoke to said the problem is at this age his gut has not developed to take solids but if this is the only way to use the smallest amount of pear and put the tiny balls on it.I actually tried him on some today and he took it fine so its looking good.Has anyone else done is this way? Also when should I start seeing an improvement hes been on it since Monday. He does seem a bit happier I think but hes still not good at night waking every hour uncomfortable and his nose is so stuffy and breathing is so raspy like the acid has got into his sinuses the poor fella.
