Well, well!!!! DD ended up falling fast asleep at 830pm when I put her down (2nd time) and did not wake again until 6AM TODAY!!!!
DH and I went to bed at 9:30pm (still full from dinner!) and fell fast asleep and got 8.5hrs sleep!!!!!! I lay in bed for a bit first wondering when she was going to wake me next but fell asleep as i was exhausted.... i have not had that much sleep in a row in quite a few weeks, maybe even 3mths or so.....
DD must have been soooo tired from yesterday and didn't even want her usual feed in the middle of the night.... thank god she slept well last night as after yesterday I was at my wits end.....!!! I had lost all patience

It makes a huge difference when they do decide to sleep well, you wake up feeling so much better.... I gave her a big cuddle and kiss when I got her out of her cot just before and now she's in having snuggles with Daddy saying "Dadda"... hehe

Still doesn't resolve how to get her to sleep earlier at night though, I am going to persist getting her to sleep at 630pm/7pm every night and just hope eventually she goes back to that time.... it doesn't bother me so much if she wakes at 530am/6am if she has gone to bed at 7pm the night before.... but if she goes to bed 830pm and wakes 5am (and once over night) its quite hard...... given that our daytime sleeps are lacking.... iykwim???

Thanks for the support ladies hope you all got SOME sleep last night at least too.

Hooray for you! Geez...my DD has NEVER slept through the night. She must have been exhausted!

I hope things keep improving for you!! 8 months is a notoriously hard time with sleep. Hang in there!

Yay! I am jealous!! DD2 woke at 11pm and then again at 3am so I had to get up and feed her. Then she woke at 6.30am.

I have just put her down for her nap and she was so tired but screamed and screamed not wanting to go to sleep. I have a suspicion she may be getting more teeth.

    Thanks girls

I'm still having trouble with getting DD to sleep before 8:30pm there is no time for 'couple' time anymore..... she just refuses to sleep before 830pm... could this be her new bed time???? Or should we stick to our routine still? I'm not sure what to do from here..... I really liked it when DD went to bed around 630/7pm.

any advice? We've been a bit sick in our household the last couple of nights which is making it even harder to get any sleep!
