She wont lay still at all. She has just gone down FINALLY i have been trying since 11am i fed her a tin of custard and some veges and bf her and she feel asleep on me. Now i'm too buggered to do the house work LOL!
I think she is getting her top teeth now or they are moving around cos she is back to dribbling and chewing everything like crazy.
She will stay in the cot for ages but then will get tangled in her sheets or bang her head or get a leg out of the bars then i have to go in and she gets all excited and giggles etc etc. Its very cute but hard when you know how tired she is.
When my DS gets to this stage I'm going to buy rolls and rolls of bandages from the chemist and wrap him up like a mummy...so he can't roll, crawl, walk.....LOL. I don't want him to grow up....waaaahhhhhh!!!!
LOL, Just kidding....sorry I don't have any sensible advice. Have you tried to play some soft music in her room and draw the blinds to darken the room, maybe that will help her relax.
LOL Marlene that could work hehe she is so full of beans, with my others they weren't even thinking about half the stuff she is doing, she is probably going to be running around before i know it aaaarrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!!
Ooh, Marlene! Thats a good idea!
So Trina - Have you tried laying down with her to put her to sleep?
Does she have a dummy? The only way Jesse will sleep is in HIS cot with the dummy. He's not too keen on rocking/feeding etc to sleep. If I'm in the room its play time. But he's not quite as mobile as Summer!
Have you tried rocking her in the pram? It might be a bit quicker & less stress.
I used the sleeping bag for day naps too because DD was a bit of a cot gymnast too. She also had a favourite blankie that she was wrapped in so I started putting it under her head and she grabs that with one hand and puts her thumb in her mouth with the other. But you could try putting something that smells of you (like a t-shirt) and put it over the mattress maybe.
Hope you find something that works - it is VERY cute when they're so pleased to see you but also very tiring if you have to spend ages trying to get them to sleep!
I might try the sleeping bag, its been too hot for the sleeping bag the last few nights and last night it took me well over an hour to get her to sleep again. She is in my room so i ended up sitting on my bed for a while and she was happy with that but still trying to sit up, hehe she was pretty much doing a full sit up.
As soon as i went to bed she woke up and was in my bed all night of course she lays down happily but wakes constantly. Just one of those stages i guess.
