I have her on either side depending on what boob she had last, lol. If I am awake at the end of the feed I try to move her up so she's away from the doona a bit and I wriggle down so I can have the covers up to my neck! But more often than not I end up falling asleep and she just stays cuddled up to me and I wake up cold.
I do that and wondered if i was the only one.
Not alone this is us too

DS is a restless sleeper, all over the bed, on the floor or like your DD on my head I spend a lot of the time chasing him with blankets which he hates having on. Last week I got out the Grobag as it's getting sooo cold here. I feel better knowing he's warm no matter where he is, but when he wakes up and can't walk he's not happy! (Not sleeping through either ) When he wakes for a feed I roll him to the other side. I keep the very edge of the doona on me but not on him and tuck it under my arm so it doesn't go near his face. (DP doesn't sleep in bed with us as he is worried he might hurt DS he's also a restless and heavy sleeper)

I've just ordered 2 Snugtime blanket sleepers, 2.0 TOG rating. That way I'll know he's warm, I can adjust his clothing underneath to suit, and he'll be happier as they have legs so he won't fall on his face when he tries to walk
