DS is 10 months & has been feeding to sleep for both naps & night time sleep since he was 2-3 months old. it sort of just happened and i've been happy with it because it's been the only way we've managed to get him to sleep that doesn't involve any screaming.

in the last 2 days he has fed to sleep for his nap but has either woken up & started howling as soon as i have taken him off the breast or as soon as i put him down. he sleeps in our bed (poor DP was evicted to the spare room about 4 months ago). and he just won't settle for me afterwards - i've tried patting, rocking, lying next to him & feeding lying down & he doesn't want to know about it & either screams or gets hyper.

DP managed to rock him to sleep yesterday for one nap but it took a while & he only slept for 40 mins & that was it for the whole day.

i feel so bad that i can't even settle my own baby

i'm not sure what to do now? will he get used to being put to sleep another way? will he ever nap again? i knew he'd probably grow out of it at some point but i'm not ready!!
