We had DS in our room from the start, first in his bassinet, then in his cot. At about 8 months (only a couple of weeks ago!) we moved him and his cot into his own room. It was better than I expected. He didn't cry/wake up anymore than usual. I think it helped that he is still in his same cot, just in different room. If he was going to a different bed altogether it might have been a different story.

SIDS actually recommend to have your baby sleep in your room too.

I think do whatever you feel comfortable doing. When you feel it's time to move DS into his own room, then we are here to offer advice and support again
