You can buy dummies without the handle....
I would be letting her roll over, my DS needed his dummy and would wake constantly for it until he started to roll over and sleep on his tummy. I was very concerned intially, but after talking with the maternal health nurse was assured that it was okay if they did it themselves. Once i gave up on keeping him on his back and let him go over, I would often check on him to see he was sleeping without his dummy.. He was older though around 15 months and had gone into his own bed, sick of co-sleeping with us
