    Default sleep patterns

Im just wondering (getting a bit ahead of myself here) but at what age do the bubs start having just two sleeps aday, like morn and arvo sleep? Im just sick of this 1 1/2 hours up and then it's sleep time. When does that end? Coco still needs all the sleeps, but it's hard work and Im looking forward to less sleeps!!

By around 3months I had a definate pattern going. Wake up around 7.30am bottle and play until around 10 - 10.30am then bottle and sleep, wake around noon - 12.30pm for another bottle, then another bottle and sleep again at 2 - 2.30pm and sleep for around 2hrs, Then they'd have another few bottles and playtime and maybe a catnap until bath/feed/bed. Luckily they all followed this pattern.

It wont be long until Coco gets into this 'two sleep a day' pattern.

I think all babies are different with their sleep needs. Kynan was having 2 sleeps a day around 6 months (I think!). Now at nearly 8.5 months he has started the transition to 1 day sleep.

Matilda started 2 sleeps around 7 months and stayed there until 13 months when she went to one sleep.

Jacob had 2 sleeps at around 9 months and then went to 1 sleep at around 12 - 13 months.

    Hi Meg ,

Kaitlyn never had more then a 45min catnaps during the day up until she was about 4months. Now she seems to have moved to a morning sleep and an afternoon sleep which can be up to 2hours ....does not happen everyday but geeze it is nice when it does!
